How to recruit new board members

How to assess the board’s work as a whole

How to help individual board members to recommit to the organization each year

Our presenter, Sue Conley, retired from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin in 2014 after serving as the executive director for 12 years. Sue’s previous work experience includes several positions at the YWCA Rock County including Executive Director. She also spent several years employed as a branch manager of a bank in Janesville, WI. Sue has been an active nonprofit board leader since 1984 serving on many local boards including United Way, League of Women Voters, Janesville Performing Arts Center, Leadership Development Academy and many more. Since retiring Sue has served as a consultant to local nonprofits providing tools and best practices to help nonprofits create good governance structures to better position them to advance their organization’s mission.
